HEO Robotics is the world’s first commercial in-orbit satellite inspection company. Our technology helps defence, governments, and commercial operators to visually monitor satellites and other space objects. We do this by transforming Earth observation satellites into in-orbit inspection cameras with our proprietary software and generating insights through our computer vision techniques. Our goal is to empower our customers to have satellite insights at their fingertips.

About the role

This is an exciting time at HEO Robotics. We've grown from 3 to more than 20 in the last 12 months, and launched our flagship product, HEO Inspect – the world’s first commercial satellite inspection software platform.

We’re looking for a Head of Operations to partner directly with the CEO, CTO and leadership team. As the Head of Operations at HEO Robotics you will be responsible for overseeing internal operations including Finance, People and Culture, Marketing, Compliance, Governance, Risk, and IT. You’ll lead the implementation of new systems and improve existing, define drivers and enablers across all teams to support the Company’s growth and solve scaling challenges.

This role reports to the CEO, has 1 direct report and manages the relationships with professional service providers and contractors.

Your key responsibilities

  • Running the day-to-day operations of the company and driving forward momentum
  • Translating vision into action by implementing and improving organisational systems to empower our teams to deliver on strategic priorities
  • Lead and build out the operational faucets of Finance, People and Culture, Marketing, Compliance, Governance, Legal, Risk and IT
  • Be responsible for internal communications ensuring key info is shared across all levels of the company and geographies
  • Advocate for strong governance and compliance culture by working closely with the Board Chair, to prepare agendas, board packs and minutes for our monthly Board Meetings
  • Plan, design and run quarterly team offsites
  • Designing new systems to enhance onboarding and offboarding experience/processes
  • Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on fundraising
  • Anticipating the needs of people and focusing resources for the achievement of strategic goals and OKRs

About you, we’d love for you to be/have

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role for a high growth company
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, HR or related field
  • Demonstrated success in building teams, high-performance culture and maintaining highly engaged organisations
  • Demonstrated exceptional operational, financial and people leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proven understanding in operational facets of Finance, People and Culture, Marketing, Compliance, Governance, Legal, Risk, and IT
  • Work well under pressure with a high degree of adaptability
  • A problem solver with the ability to influence and negotiate competing interests across stakeholders to drive systems, processes and scalable solutions
  • Passionate about personal accountability and opportunities to innovate or improve
  • Solutions driven and action-oriented
  • Highly developed skills in Excel/Google Sheets and other analytical tools – are familiar with Google Suite, CRM programs and other operations platforms
  • Experience with modern and remote workplace tools Slack, Confluence, GoogleMeet, Zoom and so on
