About the role:

HEO Robotics is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Software Developer passionate about working in space tech to join our team.

As a senior software developer, you’ll ensure we’re providing the best platform experience for our customers. You will be required to build new and improve existing software with scalability and security in mind. You will play a critical role in streamlining and automating our internal and customer-facing processes running on and off the cloud.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our R&D Engineers to implement scalable solutions
  • Develop new features for our core product, HEO Inspect
  • Optimise existing product functionalities
  • Build automated pipelines for data analytics and processing
  • Develop software to simulate space missions

About you, we'd love for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar field.
  • 3+ years of relevant Industry experience
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • Experience in developing solutions based on microservices architecture
  • Experience in API development
  • Experience in database development and management
  • Experience in software architecture
  • Extensive knowledge in:
    • Python
    • C/C++
    • RDS
    • Container services
    • unit testing
    • CI/CD processes
  • Some experience in cloud infrastructure

Previous work experience in aerospace and robotics sectors, and some experience in machine learning and web development are considered a plus.
